RM100 is like RM1000 for some people.

Assalamualaikum :)

Our hostel fee naik lagi. Masa mula-mula masuk September 2012 tu, bayaran sebulan ialah RM350. Dan internet ialah RM300 untuk 6 bulan. So internet around RM50 sebulan la. Total cost : RM400 sebulan.

Semalam, Student Council announced kat Facebook page ; now it is RM450 per month, with free wifi.

If you look carefully, macam kita bayar RM100 untuk 'free wifi' sebulan. Maksudnya semester depan kita kena bayar extra RM50 compared to total amount of RM400 untuk bilik+internet semester ni.

Terkejut. Bak kata someone, tak sempat merasa bayar RM400. Terus dia naik sampai 450. Sobs.

So, what did I do?

I went for house hunting with Dawa petang semalam. Jumpa 3 rumah around here. Satu rumah tu tepi semak. Murah tapi, tak masuk dalam tgk lagi. 2nd rumah tu double-storey. Uncle Cina tu sangat friendly dan baik, but I still dont like the condition of the house. 3rd house is a homestay. LAWA !! Aku cuba tanya owner tu if boleh sewa for RM1000 instead of RM1200. Dia taknak sebab rumah tu dah fully-furnished.

Aku cuba untuk dptkan bilik sendiri, tapi susah. If u wanna cut down the cost, memang kena share bilik. I asked matpauji, "Do u think I can have a roommate? Dah 2 tahun tinggal sorang, takut tak biasa la nak cope dgn jadual orang lain..."

He said, so takpayahla nanti jadi masalah lain. HAHAH. But I agreed to share room with Ain anyway, sebab she's okay :) Itupun lepas tanya, "Ain, kita ni boleh share bilik ke?" KAH3.

Alas, hati rasa tak sedap nak move out. Because aku ni cerewet sikit. Kalau kat rumah takpe, tapi kat tempat orang takboleh HAHAHAHA. Sebab kat rumah ada family :) kalau kat sini duduk rumah yg sedih nanti lagi homesick. Mengada sungguh. So I texted my father. First thing he said, "Dulu cakap taknak pindah, kenapa skrg nak pindah?" I told him la mahal bla3. Then he said, "I'll pay for your hostel. Safety is a priority. Plus there's always hidden cost despite rumah sewa luar yang murah"

*nanges*

I'm happy since I know he's willing to pay. Harap-harap it will not burden him. I just said, doakanla bagi grad cepat so that I dont have to susahkan u anymore :')

Alhamdulillah aku masih dalam golongan yang mampu. I hope those who are not able to cope with the increase, will manage to find other alternatives, Amin :)

My very first scaling!

Assalamualaikum :)

Hello! Sebenarnya, aku pun tak tahu wujud benda ni sebelum aku datang India. Yeah, aku tak pernah pegi dentist selain kat sekolah je , which is secara paksarela.

No, I'm not afraid of the dentist. I love them anyway, just like how I love myself, hihi.

So, last Thursday Allah had given me the opportunity to do my very first scaling!

Ye, kami ada 49 + 19 students tapi cuma ada 8 scalers what to do.

Tepat pukul 2.17pm, patient datang. Now we will call him Mr A. Before that aku makan nasik dengan tangan so before gerak tu aku make sure I washed my hands with sabun basuh pinggan diikuti dengan sabun basuh tangan dan sabun untuk scrubbing dekat klinik. Mind you aku dah pernah kena periksa dengan dentist tangan berbau kari, hampir muntah so I'm not gonna do the same thing on my patient. Sembur perfume sikit. Imej kena jaga bak kata Prof Norliza.

Mr A was very cooperative. He has big manly teeth as expected. Time ni la aku tau bahawa susahnya nak control kaki bagi sama dengan pergerakan tangan. Scaler tak masuk mulut lagi aku dah tertekan dengan kaki lalu air membuak-buak kena dekat muka Mr A HAHAHAHAH amfuuuun! Ini baru scaling. Taktaula kalau kena buat restoration nanti macam mana. Semoga Allah bantu la ye.

Masa tengah buat tu Ya Allah syioknyaaaaaa tak tipu wey! Wachaaa! One of the scaler tips was missing so aku ambil masa more than 45 minutes. Dr Sunil cakap, cannot be more than that sebab nanti ada TMJ pain. Sorry Mr A. Siapa suruh surface scaler takde, so aku kena guna tip yg comel kecil tu je.

A. It was okay la. And errr takpe tak kalau nak sronok kejap sebab it was not easyyyyy dealing with oral cavity. Ada some amount of blood which was normal. Then, we did some polishing. In the end, I sent him home with shinier and cleaner teeth :)

Now Miyn dah boleh buat procedure yang berharga RM80. Hihi. Juniors, if you are reading this, nanti buat scaling dengan Kak Miyn! *mode excited*

Sarang Haena

Assalamualaikum :)

Sihat tak? Harap semua orang sihat lah since esok dah nak sekolah kan. Tak boleh sakit and takde masa nak sakit pun kalau kelas 8pagi-5petang sebanyak 5 hari seminggu and attendance ialah 90% . Oh, Khamis lepas aku sakit. Alhamdulillah Jumaat tu cuti. Syukur.

Jumaat malam lepas aku pergi satu forum Karnival Keluarga Bahagia kat MMU Melaka. Aku tak pegi event lain, cuma pergi forum tu je, tajuk dia 'Sarang Haena' kot? Mula-mula tu macam, apekah nama Koreaaa bagai tapi aku pergi sebab ada Sham Kamikaze, Hilal Asyraf dengan Ustazah Fatimah Syarha. Excited! So, this is my 2nd time meeting HA and USF, 1st time meeting SK.

Jadi macam mana kita nak cakap kita sayang diri sendiri? By looking beautiful? Nope. Allah has provide guidance and He sent Rasulullah SAW to teach us the practicals, so how can we, not love Him and Rasulullah beyond anything else?

I know it's hard. Bukan senang nak sayang seseorang yang kita tak kenal.

"Bahagialah siapa yang melihatku dan beriman padaku."  Kemudian nabi sebut tiga kali: "Bahagialah, bahagialah, bahagialah siapa yang tidak melihatku tapi beriman denganku"

Sham Kamikaze cakap something yang buat aku sentap. He said he used to own more than 30 guitars and more than 200shoes. "Tangan ada satu je. Kaki ada sepasang je. Nak buat apa membazir beli banyak-banyak?"

Hilal Asyraf tambah, "Bagi saya, sayang seseorang tu bukanlah berjumpa ajak dating, beli something special kemudian cakap I love you. Kalau kita sayang dia, kita nak sama-sama masuk syurga sebab tu la tempat kebahagiaan sebenar."

Pegang tangan dan cakap kita sayang dia. Sama macam, "Baby, i love you, jom lah kita masuk neraka sama-sama"

Something to ponder, right?

Sabda Rasulullah s.a.w yang bermaksud; "Tidak sempurna iman seseorang itu, sehingga dia mengasihi saudaranya, sebagaimana dia mengasihi dirinya sendiri." (Hadis riwayat Muslim).

I know dalam circle kita, mesti ada orang-orang tertentu yang kita tak suka/kita nak elak. Tapi kalau tak mampu nak suka, cukupla dengan tak mendoakan yang buruk-buruk untuk dia, and just pray for him to be under the care of Allah. Just like how we want ourselves to be.

Recently I said to matpauji, "don't you wanna come to our clinic?  I think I've forgotten how u look like." And yessss memang lupa dah kot? Jumpa 2 kali mana sempat nak hapai dia tinggi mana pun.

He said, "One meeting will lead to another. I have my own principle and I hope we will not be blinded by love."

Sedih. So I said, okay takpayah datang la camtu. And he replied by saying, "Alhamdulillah".

I didn't quite understand it that time. But the forum made it all clear. I too, should say Alhamdulillah.

Twins of Faith 2012

Assalamualaikum :)

Minggu lepas, ada event Twins of Faith kat PICC. Alhamdulillah, I was among the chosen ones untuk pergi program tu dengan kakak aku. Ummi tak dapat datang last minute, so the ticket was sold to my sister's friend whom she met online on Twitter. It was a 2-days programme and we stayed at Abah's house at Putrajaya. So, Abah did the sending and picking us up :D

On the first day, kitorang jumpa dengan Kak Ida (yang beli tiket tu). She just graduated from France and is having 3 weeks holiday before flying back to France to get a job there. Then, I found my long friend from KMS ; Wan Zanariah! Dia nampak sangat lost dan lonely so I amek dia bawak jalan sekali hihi. Sooooo, in the end, there were 4 of us :)

You see, aku tak la eager sangat about this event. Mainly pergi sebab kakak yang beria sangat nak. Tiket dia mahal pulak tu = RM200 but Ummi sponsored everything so ok pergi je la kan.

Upon entering the main hall, dah rasa macam WOW sikit. Heyyy, I AM HERE. wuu!

Ok, lets get serious and do some sharing session shall we?

* * *

"To love is to burn, to be in fire", said Syeikh Daood Butt, quoting Jane Austen. He gave a talk about What is Love? To love is not to let ourselves be burnt in fire of course. Do we actually love Allah as we claim we are? Then he asked, siapa tau 99 nama Allah sekali dengan maksud? I felt like a knife was stabbed into my chest. Do I know really know my God well? I dont even remember all His names.

Love.

* * *

"Loving Alah gives you strength. You bend, but you do not break. Love is yearning. You yearn to see the ones you love. You yearn to see Allah. Look, you wanna know what's better than Jannah? It is to finally be able to stare at Allah's face."- Exemplary Love by Syeikh Omar Suleiman.

I went to a workshop by Syeikh Omar Suleiman downstairs on the 2nd day. Workshops were done in a smaller room which is followed by Q&A session, which you dont have in the mainhall. His topic was 'Happily Married and Blissfully Divorced'. This was the time when I mustered all my strength to try to talk to him by asking questions. It was 2 lame Qs by the way, but the fact that he was looking at me while I talked to him directly, and answered my lame Q..Ya Allah, tak boleh describe feeling tu.

"If you don't want to get married because you're afraid you cannot raise your children to be good Muslims, then you're having bad perception about Allah"

* * *

Syeikh Tawfique Chowdury told a story about Hassan Al-Basri when he was giving a talk on How The Prophet Loved Us.

"If the money is haram, then fear Jannah. If the money is halal, then fear the questions from Allah"

A lot of things to be pondered upon here...it was very emotional listening to him, talking about our beloved Rasulullah SAW, how he loves us dearly, how he tried to make everything easy for us.

"Sekiranya tidak memberatkan umatku, nescaya aku wajibkan sugi ke atas mereka"

“Jika tidak kerana memberatkan umatku, nescaya aku wajibkan Tahajud ke atas mereka”

Despite us being the last ummah, disebabkan doa Rasulullah untuk Allah permudahkan semuanya untuk kita, we are given privileged to be the first ones entering the Heaven.

Kat akhirat nanti, we'll be gathered with the ones whom we love in the Dunia.

* * *

The Love Test. This session with Brother Abdurraheem Green was really mind-provoking. Macam mana kita boleh cakap kita beriman selagi kita tak diuji? What are we doing with what Allah has bestowed upon us? Our money? Our time? Our health? All these will be questioned later.

And all these will be questioned later. Just the thought of that makes me scared. An easy life itself is a test. Do we turn to Allah when He puts us in a comfortable life? Do I?

* * *

There are many more I wish I could share here. But I know it's impossible to convey even 1% of the talk and make u feel what I felt during the blissful 2 days. It's hard to describe the feeling of being there. To be with everyone with the same goal ; to know Allah better. Untuk finally rasa, Ya Allah nikmatnya lahir sebagai seorang Muslim, and yet I seldom be thankful for this. To see the Muslim reverts are better than me, still trying and never give up to being the best Muslims they could be, to finally be with Allah.

Twins of Faith is not a typical ceramah agama. A friend asked me. speakers tu ada certificate ke dlm field diorang nak bagi talk tu? I was like, stumbled. We don't need any certificate to give a talk on Islam. It is more like a sharing session. Someone is sharing how he misses Allah and Rasululah SAW, and we, the listeners secretly pray to have the same feeling too.

You guys try la pergi if this event ada lagi in the future. InsyaAllah kalau ada kelapangan, I'd definitely go again. The value of knowledge and amazing feeling Allah instilled on me after going there is priceless. I hope it stays. I hope I can turn everything I learnt into actions. If I slip off along the way, I hope Allah will pick me up and guide me again.

"The greatest tragedy of hell is not the fire, but the fact that you're unable to communicate with Allah anymore. He's no longer listen to you and you won't have any chance to meet him anymore, forever" - Syeikh Tawfique Chowdury
